I saw this awesome idea on Pinterest and it inspired me to try my own take on it! My kids love it and it was so easy and fun to make! 

Supplies:  
Hair gel (cheap stuff from the a dollar store)
Glitter
Duct tape
Cardboard

Step 1: Measure approximately 5-6 ounces of hair gel and mix in as much glitter as you want!

Getting Ready for Spring/Summer Outdoor Fun


It's been a long winter for some of us in northern climates, but it looks like it's finally spring and time to get ready for outdoor activities.

Here’s part of my spring to-do list to help you get ready for kid-friendly outings.

  • Check “spring” jackets and rain coats to see if they fit.
  • Check out last year’s rain boots and try them on.
  • Locate ball caps and sun hats.
  • Spend some time with your kids trying on summer shoes, t-shirts, and shorts to ...

NGREDIENTS

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 box elbow or spiral macaroni
  • Grape Tomatoes
  • Black Olives
  • Red Onion
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Pesto Sauce Packet (I use Knorr’s)

 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make pasta according to instructions. Drain pasta and cool with cold water.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil and ½ tablespoon garlic to frying pan and cook chicken to temp and no longer pink in the center. I actually cut my chicken into small cubes before cooking. Let chicken cool.

Ma Cong’s moving piece, Ershter Vals, had its beginnings in the Richmond Ballet 2009 New Works Festival and was finished in the fall of 2010, receiving critical and audience acclaim along the way. Ershter Vals features music originating in the Jewish ghettos during World War II, and uses engaging choreography to portray the light people find in relationships and communities, even in the darkest of times.
William Soleau’s world premiere work, Chasing Cello, includes the music of three well known Bach sonatas, and features on stage musicians, cellist Dana McComb and pianist, Joanne Kong. “This is one of the first times I’ve been drawn to a concept before selecting music.

Thanks to Alison at Richmond Bargains for posting this great new RVA event.
The Richmond Liberty Trail is a walking route that connects many of downtown Richmond's historic sites, attractions and neighborhoods, including 15 national historic landmarks. This 6.2 mile (10K) trail is temporarily marked with a logo painted on the sidewalk. Ultimately, the trail will be marked with more sophisticated, permanent markers akin to those that will soon mark the Richmond Slave Trail. Where the Richmond Liberty Trail meets corners or other locations where direction is needed, supplementary arrows indicate in which direction to walk.

Famous for his Great American Nude series, American painter Tom Wesselmann (1931 – 2004) is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the vanguard of American Pop Art. However, unlike his two fellow Pop artists, Wesselman has never been the subject of a major retrospective exhibition in North America. Girl Scout Troop 5091 proudly sponsors our own Daisy, Harlie Holton. Harlie is an amazing 6-year-old who attends Kindergarten at Glen Allen Elementary School. Born with Goldenhar Syndrome (a craniofacial syndrome), a lung defect and a collection of rare, complicated heart defects, she’s endured 32 surgeries in her short life. She will be traveling to Boston this summer for her 33rd sugery. This one will be a jaw distraction, which will be incredibly painful both physically and emotionally for Harlie and her family. Your love, support, and donations will make all the difference in helping her in this journey.
